Message to F-1 Visa Applicants
Thank you for your interest in studying at MiraCosta College. We understand that the
current pause on new F-1 visa interview appointments, as directed by the U.S. government,
may raise concerns. This suspension is related to an expansion of social media vetting
for international students and applies to all new F-1, M-1, and J-1 visa applicants.
It may cause delays in visa processing.
Please know that we are closely monitoring updates from U.S. embassies and consulates
and will continue to share new information as it becomes available.
In the meantime, we encourage you to proceed with the steps you can complete, including
accepting your admission, obtaining your Form I-20, and preparing your application
materials. While the timeline for resuming interviews is currently unknown, being
prepared will ensure you are ready as soon as appointments become available.
We are here to support you throughout this process. If you have questions or need
assistance, please contact the International Office.
We look forward to welcoming you to MiraCosta College.
